“STAT TEAM”

Mission: The mission of the “Stat Team” is to have a network of nurses and health care professionals who can be called upon to respond quickly to MNA visibility events and other urgent actions for the Association.   

Requirements: Attend 6 events per year. (5 MNA activities and 1 for another union or group). Please note that you may receive more phone calls per year but the minimum requirement for special recognition is 6 events. We realize that there may be times when you are unable to attend six events but whatever level of participation you are able to do will be greatly appreciated by your fellow Stat Team members.  

Types of events: · Leafleting (union and non-union facilities)· Political events· Pickets and Candlelight vigils· Rallies· Visibility events 

Recruitment: The goal is to build a database of MNA members that will be active participants on the Stat Team. As part of that plan we encourage you to recruit other nurses and health care professionals who also want to participate in these MNA visibility events. This is a good opportunity to network with other MNA nurses and to have a little fun in the process. Remember participation in this mobilization task force does not require attending regular meetings! 

Recognition: Our plan is to hold an annual celebration for all Stat Team members. Special recognition will be given to those who have participated in six events or more throughout the year.
